Respectfully guys, I disagree, I think Lee Douglas adds some phenomenal vocals to the band. Especially when she harmonizes with Daniel and Vincent. Seems like the records have become stronger since she came on board. Just my opinion.

Same here but I'm going to play devil's advocate. Love Lee's vocals and loved the last 2 albums but I still can't wrap my head around The Optimist. It just feels too drawn out, too "electronic". Hopefully it'll grow on me.

It was my favorite band. Can't listen to this animore, I will miss the days they played some interesting music. I knew somenthing was going to change after Hindsight, I was right, Hindsight was great but then...
Also I hate this bitch!

Lee has nice vocals, but she's singing over bland music. The musical genius that was found on records like Alternative 4 and Eternity has been replaced with radiohead esque indie rock - I say rock in a loose term because of the lack of guitars - where's the riffs?

this album is awful

Lee Douglas is a gift from the heavens, and this album rules just like the last few, and like everything this band has ever done.

While not as great as Weather Systems (which is their very best ever for me), it's on par and just as good as Distant Satellites and We're Here Because We're Here. I love what Lee has brought to the table for them.
