After my first listen it's better than I expected. More of a "Lateralus" feel than "10,000 Days" Good stuff

So much aenima and lateralus in this absolute beast of an album and I love it ????

Wish they would have split the songs up a bit more but that’s a minor minor issue

9.8/10 for me

3 interludes that don't fit on the regular CD.

@getmetal

Culling Voices is also on CD, you forgot that on the tracklist.

@DeadCore
Yes... but it comes with a download code for the missing instrumental segue tracks.

This album just gets better and better the more I listen! Me thinks 10,000 Days is Tools "Risk" album lol.

Quite boring repetitive but sounds good 5/10

Masterpiece for the ages

It's too early to 'grade' this album yet but there's no doubt we just got a massive, relentless, and densely packed release on par with the best work of their career (Aenima, Lateralus)

Are you kiddin guys? Nothing new for a 13 year period. Not a single fresh idea - only self repeating over and over. Riffs from Schism, Jambi etc. all over the place.

3/5 is the best possible only for the great sound and old memories, very disappointing album and definitely not all the Tool fans was waitin for

glad someone mentioned this.!!
not a single aspect or element on this album is new to the table - no risks taken, no experiments made - just what they've already done back then. sadly enough for the media & the masses to probably call this their album of the year. and i bet my ass this will be the aoty in almost every magazine.!
it's without a doubt a really good and well produced album, but for a 13 years break without any new music, it's also something truly disappointing.
calling this a masterpiece is in my own universe absolutely exaggerated... 79min respectively 87min of self-congratulation is definitely not what i expected.

...waiting for the new car bomb to melt my mind.:)

What can I say? This album is amazing! Has no bad sides! What a good year for rock music! New Tool, Rammstein, Slipknot, Korn. Can we expect more? I don't think so!

it's available in Hi Res 24bit-96kHz, and it's majestic.

That's ok, I'm quite used to downloading an album like 5 times in different versions these days. After that the limited edition, and then the Japanese edition, and then the Japanese 24 bit 96 kHz dvda version and so on...
