Great album, in my opinion their best, ultra heavy, melodic with a unique and recognizable style. In the top 10 best albums of 2019.

Sometimes I think you are all deaf, Panihida is nothing like Litourgiya, only the first song has that vibe, the rest of the album is a structureless boring shit. How can you call that a "true" version is beyond me. Cringe

This album isn't bad, but it sounds nothing like Litourgiya.

Панихида though sounds very similar in the writing, sound and spirit, so I have no doubt that Krysztof is the mastermind behind the creation of Batushka.

Krysztof may be a drunk (he Polish for fuck's sake lol) and an asshole (the original drummer he fired had a few complaints about him), though it's obvious he came up with the idea and music, so I would say his is the 'true' version.

What probably happened is that when the band became successful quickly , friction between the band members grew and a power struggle ensued. With Bart having invested money and time into the band, he felt that his efforts/capital would be wasted if he simply left, so he used his promotional experience and connections to take control. He may also have a legal right to aspects of the brand too, though we won't know for sure until this gets to the courts. Metal Blade hasn't come out to say anything on the matter either which is a bit strange.

This is similar with the Gorgoroth debacle when Infernus wasn't getting along with Gaahl and King and they ended up fighting over the band ownership.

The thing is honey, this band would not exist without Bart either, since he was not only the vocalist but the manager and promoter at the same time who financed the band and arranged shows/tours, so I would argue who did the hard work.
How did "his alcohol" stop him from making good music? I don't know how but as sure as shit something stopped him from making good music lol since Panihida is success if it comes to publicity, but musically it's an absolute failure except from the first track.
No one tried to steal "his hard work". He was kicked out from the band because he was incompetent to fullfill his contract as a song writer. By signing the band to Witching Hour owned by Bart (at the time when Litourgiya was released), he agreed to certain conditions which he was unable to fulfill so Bart took matters in his own hands and signed the band to Metal Blade. Why was he able to sign the band to a different record label? Because legally he owned the band all along. When it comes to legal matters no one is giving a flying fuck about who wrote the songs. It's all paperwork. That's why Krzysztof failed at court.
You are just being delusional because you seen Krzysztof's mumble rapping video and took his side because it's cool. Instead of rationally forming your own opinion about this case and looking up how record deals and trademarks work, you just deepthroated Krzysztof's dick.
