personally, i like their last album...the new one is just irrelevant.

so, after 2 days of extensive listening i've come to the point where i can't take this band any longer for serious.
really bad production and bad songwriting, except for 2 or 3 songs that are just ok.
where the fuck is this 'heavy' or 'iowa 2.0' thing hidden.?? i can't find it, i can't hear it.
this album has almost a smooth atmosphere.!!
it's so full of weak tracks...half of the album could also be a compilation of outtakes.
it's not half as compelling as their older stuff.
irrelevant album.

Y'all need new ears if you think the production is bad lmao. I liked the Grey Chapter but this shits all over it. Nero Forte, Red Flag, Orphan, Solway Firth. Some of their best/heaviest songs in years.

Totally true,i'm a professional producer and the mixing process it's full of mistakes by sections in some songs.On the three singles the mix it's much better than other songs on the album.It's a heavy version of Slipknot but there are songs that needs more work on the production side.Iowa it's much better than this album in every way...production,mix,mastering and composition.

Never drums or voice could eclipse guitars in the mix,always when you are a metal or pseudometal band,it's a matter of transitories and planes in the mix.In this case,on specific moments the percussion or voice it's over the guitars.After this..go and listen Iowa..then you will understand.Here a clear example is Nero Forte

Red flag it's really full of this mistakes.Guitars have a very bad paneo,second plane because of the transitories and the equalization,too much filters of frequencies.
