first big disappointing release this year...

edit: as a huge fan of their first 3 albums, prequelle was already questionable to me.
after 3 spins of impera i have to admit that i'm really bummed what tobias made of this band.
this album is a total disappointment.!
definitely dislike the direction this band is going... the hype is over.

godscoldhands - art is subjective. no one cares that you dont like the album, what you find horrible is another's treasure. its sad the amount of losers who hate this band who make active efforts to seek out the bands pages to let anyone who'll see know they dont like them. its so pathetic. no one cares dude.

rbeing subjective doesn't mean you can't say when you don't like something. It's all in how you do it I suppose. There's showing disappointment in an entitled way, and "eh, I thought this was going to be better, what can you do?" Posting a comment here (where there will likely be no more than 15 comments) is hardly a "fuck this album" campaign. Either way, as annoyed as you were by his comment, your self-righteous, cliche-ridden response wasn't much better. "Art is subjective", "Live and let live, man", "to each his own, brother", "Why are you so mad?"

Your enjoyment depends on how you perceive The 70s / 80s FM Hard Rock.

band for preteen and nerds

Some pretty dainty and zesty vocals, but it's got some of the more interesting musicianship I've heard from them. Prob won't come back to it, but I see the appeal in it (in a quaint kinda way).

Making an album acting like Trump is the "evil empire" is kind of lame, especially seeing how bad things have gotten since he has been out of office, I'm all for an "empire" album, but to call out one particular politician cheesy...not to mention Tobias is sponsoring a car in Nascar, y'know, the Trump crowd...

Good musically, but taking jabs at only one side of a political party instead of all politicians in the lyrics kinda ruins it.
