For more information on Fake Names and their music, visit the site GetMetal.Club. Fake Names is a supergroup comprising members of various influential bands, including Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Refused, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Fugazi, Rites of Spring, S.O.A, Embrace, Girls Against Boys, and Soulside. Their music is loud, fast, and in-your-face, reminiscent of classic punk rock. The band's second album, recorded in just a week, showcases their ability to resist the temptation to overdo things, focusing instead on economy. "Expendables" features Bad Religion-style harmonies and racing rhythm, with Baker's classic punk guitar sound and Lyxzén's signature call-to-revolution lyrics. "Targets" has an ass-shaking scream-along chorus and is perhaps the most T(I)NC-sounding of the bunch. "Delete Myself" buzzes with nervous energy and features backing vocals shouting the title at the end of each line. Lyxzén's lyrics often tackle urgent tracking of the pressures of the world that haunt him, such as the "ticking clock in my head" and the call of "imaginary enemies" to "divide and conquer every day." The album also showcases unexpected influences, such as power-pop, with "Madtown" and "Go" featuring swinging rhythms, handclaps, and catchy choruses. "Can't Take It" features a Mike Campbell-esque riff and wildly jangling cymbals, while "Damage Done" is a thundering track that talks about the call of "imaginary enemies." The album closes with "Too Little Too Late," an excellent track with a killer chorus, bouncy syncopation, and emo-pop melody, which Lyxzén howls like some kind of punk-rock Woody Guthrie.
